Cons

1. If you don’t have a medical background, you really shouldn’t join! At first, they emphasized that having no relevant background was okay, and that they had employees without relevant backgrounds who were doing very well after gaining experience. Once I had been working there for a month, however, I was constantly criticized for being too slow and for not knowing anything yet not asking questions. When I explained my situation, I was accused of arguing back. When I asked questions, I was criticized for asking things that were too basic??? It felt a bit like being told to learn Chinese characters without being given a textbook, while you don’t even know Zhuyin or what Zhuyin is, and then when you ask how to pronounce a character, being told that your question is too basic????

2. During my first month, I only learned administrative tasks (regional matters and assistant work), and I had finished learning all of them. In the meantime, I also had to go through a period of having to rely on myself because senior colleagues were away on business trips and no one was available to ask, or because I couldn’t reach anyone. As soon as I had completed one month, I was asked how things were going. I could only report on how I was doing with learning the administrative tasks and explain that there was genuinely a lot to handle, with some gaps in the workflow, so I was still adapting and digesting everything. I was immediately told that I was already being defeated by administrative work, and that there would be even more work when I became a sales representative—“You won’t do!” Even after I explained, I was told, “Are you questioning whether I understand how much work there is?”

3. After two months on the job, while I was still doing administrative work, I was criticized for not keeping up with the current situation in the areas I was responsible for, including the situations involving distributors and END USERS. I wasn’t the one going on business trips, and even when I proactively tried to ask about the status and updates from those trips, I couldn’t schedule a time. To ask the chairman, I had to be prepared to be humiliated for not even knowing this or that—or he would decide that I didn’t know and only give me a rough overview. But if I didn’t know, that was precisely why I was asking. And what was the point of giving me only a rough overview? What was I supposed to ask, exactly?

Meetings with contacts were also only announced on the day itself. I couldn’t even ask what the content would be. During the meeting, all I could do was first write down the points I had questions about. Afterwards, the chairman scolded me for not speaking during the meeting. The other party also thought it was strange to have someone who didn’t say anything in the meeting—what was the point of having me there? Why not just not come to the meeting?????

And I was expected to keep up with the situation in the areas I was responsible for while not going on business trips, being unable to reach anyone, getting no results when I did ask, being unable to attend meetings, and handling a great deal of administrative work???????

4. The chairman called three times within five minutes. I immediately called back within those five minutes, but couldn’t get through because he had already called the general manager. So I called again and explained that I had been asking a colleague about something and didn’t have my phone with me. I was still lectured because he was on a business trip and could only contact me by phone, so I couldn’t miss a call because of work-related matters!

5. When discussing business with the chairman, even if he asks you about any situation, once he argues against your response, you have to accept it immediately and are not allowed to offer any explanation. Otherwise, you will be accused of arguing back. You also cannot describe your explanation as “communication,” because you are a “subordinate,” and he will immediately explode.

6. They cannot understand that the personality traits needed for a sales assistant and those needed for a sales representative are different. Therefore, only someone who is very good at sales-assistant work can be recognized as capable of doing sales work! Someone who cannot even do sales-assistant work well will definitely be unable to socialize, converse, or receive people!

7. The supposed proofreading is a lie; the only real thing is being scolded when something goes wrong! Before you can submit something you have written for approval, there must be no errors in the punctuation, wording, meaning, incorrect characters, or paragraphs. Otherwise, you will be told that you didn’t check it, and your mistakes will be used to say that you have no common sense.

If you have the following qualities, you are welcome to submit your résumé:

1. You can accept that every mistake, no matter whose fault it is, will be considered your fault.

2. You will never explain yourself and are willing to bear everything on your own.

3. You have the constitution of a spirit medium and can communicate with spirits.
