Pros

Some colleagues are easy to get along with

Cons

The manager is very idle, and is practically an unnecessary presence

The laptop provided by the company is extremely terrible—so bad that it takes 10–20 minutes from booting up to opening all the applications you need

During the interview, they agreed that there would be a subsidy for purchasing your own laptop

After I bought one, I was mocked and told, “Where did you get that idea? Think about it—could that possibly be true?”

There is also a female colleague with extremely low EQ who starts yelling and banging on the desk after only a few words. She is truly a fucking national treasure.

She is not particularly capable herself, either.

She does not know how to use time functions, and instead uses a bunch of `for` loops to construct times. It took her more than 60 lines just to print a few fixed times.

She also does not reuse functions; the same code is scattered across 6–7 files.

She writes a bunch of shitty code and is still self-righteous about it. It is truly absurd.

Then, when helping with feature development, she does not answer questions at all, or responds with things like, “What do you think?” “So?” “And then?”

Only after development is finished, during the manager’s code review, does she say that I never asked questions, and then explain one by one the things I had asked about in the beginning (fuck).

I fucking asked questions and got no response, leaving me to muddle through two days on my own.

Do you know that once your review answered all my questions, I finished the development in 20 minutes?

If your EQ is bad, go see a doctor. Don’t come to the workplace and act like a clown.

The project’s coding style is too modern, so the manager worries that others will not understand it and makes new hires change it to the old style (e.g., binary operators, nullish...)

`if` statements must have braces; otherwise, the code below the `if` will all be included in the condition (who taught you how to program?)

They do not provide the database configuration and only tell new hires to infer its purpose from the column names themselves.

Where does the data in the `from_id` column come from? Figure it out yourself. Seriously, who could understand this?
