Position: Graphic Designer, full-time (not hourly)
Special notes:
1. The company does not use a time clock and has no clocking-in machine. (I knew this before the interview, but after asking some older acquaintances, they said it was actually fairly normal, so I didn’t pay much attention to it.)
2. The company looks a lot like a residence, with a covered arcade-style entrance; the office and the household shrine are in the same space.
Working hours: 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Lunch break: 12:00–1:30 p.m.
Job duties (required tasks):
The restroom must be cleaned every morning (a fixed responsibility; it is not rotated).
The trash must be taken out and the trash bag replaced before leaving work every day (a fixed responsibility; it is not rotated).
Other tasks: Graphic design and layout, sending work out for production, telephone communication, filing, etc. (This is only a general overview; the duties listed above are not exhaustive.)
1. The accountant and some of the other employees are relatives of the company owner.
2. The monthly salary is paid in cash, so it may be necessary to check the pay carefully. If there are any problems, discuss them with the boss.
3. Overtime: During the interview, the boss said that overtime would be calculated for every minute after 6:00 p.m., but the company’s overtime calculation method is somewhat bizarre.
