The office is next to Huashan 1914 Creative Park, with a beautiful view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior design also has a very startup-like feel.
I interviewed for a sales position there about three years ago. The interviewer was the sales manager of the hiring department. He seemed very young, but not only was he seriously late and left me waiting in the conference room for a long time (during which another colleague asked whether I wanted coffee), when he finally arrived, he did not apologize and had a very flippant attitude. He stuttered throughout the conversation, barely asked any professional questions, and then started asking whether I had a boyfriend, where I went on weekends, and so on, leaving me awkwardly making small talk with him. He kept boasting that the office had been designed by Google's design team, that it overlooked Huashan's open lawn, and that coffee was unlimited—these were all very superficial “company advantages.” After we discussed my salary expectations, he said they would contact me again, and then… nothing. I didn't receive a single phone call or email, leaving me unsure whether the positive interaction during the interview had been an act or what. In short, they completely wasted the applicant's time. Fortunately, I later found another good job.
Recently, I heard from friends in other industries that the company has financial problems and has had a hiring freeze for a long time. I am very glad that I did not join this strange company with its strange sales manager.
