Pros

It motivated me to go out for a walk, burn a few calories, and boost my metabolism.

Cons

First of all, this was an interview invitation from a designer.

The company left my reply hanging for nearly a week before getting back to me.

My biggest mistake was agreeing to the invitation,

which led me to encounter one of the rudest interviewers I have ever met.

At the start of the interview, the interviewer kept conveying the attitude of:

“My time is precious, so if you’re not interested, don’t waste my time.”

When introducing the job, they only talked about whatever they wanted to say, without trying to understand my experience,

and radiated the preconceived notion that someone with an ordinary design background could never understand the difficulties encountered in starting a business.

When asking me to introduce my work (in print), the interviewer only stared at their own computer

and told me to start presenting, showing absolutely no intention of looking through my work.

I tactfully asked them to move the computer aside a little so that I could introduce the work to them directly.

The interviewer merely pulled the laptop slightly closer to themselves,

said they could see it that way, and asked me to turn the pages for them.

I really could not be sure whether the interviewer’s eyesight was good enough to see the content of my work.

Or perhaps it was another kind of self-administered eyesight test?

When I began introducing the first piece, the interviewer directly interrupted me,

blurted out a whole lot about their own impressions, and bluntly said that we were not on the same wavelength,

then stood up and said, “I’ll show you out,” without even waiting for me to finish speaking.

Without even waiting for me to finish speaking, they stood up and said, “I’ll show you out.”

Without even waiting for me to finish speaking, they stood up and said, “I’ll show you out.”

Fine. OK.

Also, normally when seeing someone out, you wait for them to put their things away before leaving,

but that did not happen either.

The interviewer went straight to the door and did not care that I was still packing up my things. Fine.

After the interview as a whole, I was left with the strong impression that this interviewer was looking for a genuine psychic,

rather than a professional designer.
