If you want to work regular hours, you can come here. When it’s time to clock out, the boss will show concern and urge you to leave—but in reality, he’s worried about the electricity bill. The boss is very tolerant of lateness; even being over an hour and a half late only earns you a few words of criticism, and you can still receive a year-end bonus. The management is fairly humane. You can enjoy unlimited coffee from the coffee machine. Occasionally, they ask for employees’ opinions. They’re very interested in technology, but only to find out whether it can help the company expand its business!
The company is run by two outsiders. The boss is very good at emotional manipulation. Almost all of the benefits listed on the job site are fake; the only thing that was true was the salary discussed initially. There are no project bonuses, profit sharing, stock options, or training—the company follows only the minimum requirements of the Labor Standards Act. If you don’t want your résumé tarnished, don’t come to this company. Its public image is superficially respectable. You need to know when to say no; otherwise, it’s very easy to become cheap labor.
