Pros

I have been working at the company for almost a year. I happened to see the online reviews of this company, and if I were considering whether to join, I would definitely hesitate, because it makes the company look like a startup run by an idiot whose perverted boss relies on his wealthy father.

This has made me even more certain of one thing: you should hear and see the facts for yourself. At present, I feel very happy working at this company. All of my colleagues (nearly 20 people) are also in very stable spirits, get along well, and are highly respected for their expertise in their respective fields.

Pros:

1. Flexible working hours, while still having certain basic standard hours. Suitable for people who are self-disciplined and responsible for their actions.

2. The company provides free lunch every Wednesday, and the boss occasionally organizes group meals and treats everyone to afternoon tea.

3. The company values every employee’s quality of life. Taking leave for personal or family reasons will not result in difficulties from the boss; in fact, the boss hopes you get sufficient rest.

4. The snack cabinet is replenished regularly, with stock purchased according to colleagues’ preferences. Oh, and yes, it is indeed filled with more honey than we can finish—but what’s wrong with honey? Everyone can use it.

5. Good working environment: clean and bright, with an outdoor smoking area (I do not smoke). The restrooms are also very clean and comfortable, with regular cleaning staff, so employees do not need to take turns cleaning the restrooms or taking out the trash.

6. High potential for personal growth. To emphasize again, the company is suitable for people who are self-disciplined and responsible, have ideas about their field of work, and are passionate and driven. Rather than simply directing you, the boss prefers you to have your own opinions and methods. After providing the general direction for discussion, the boss generally gives you full, unconditional support as long as there are no major issues.

7. Effective meetings with good communication. I think opinions may differ on the number of meetings, but I find each meeting very brief. Communication does make everyone’s ideas and ways of improving things clear, so personally, I do not find the meetings unnecessary.

8. The company’s average age is young. Everyone gets along harmoniously, and colleagues are very supportive of one another. They are willing to share their expertise so the company can thrive and grow together.

9. Every colleague receives a birthday cake and sincere birthday wishes from the entire company.

10. It is especially worth emphasizing that although the boss likes to joke, there are absolutely no issues with sexual harassment. Some of the company’s colleagues are young and attractive, but no one appears to feel uncomfortable (those who did feel uncomfortable probably would not stay).

11. The company does not encourage overtime. If working on a holiday is unavoidable, you can freely and flexibly arrange your own work; ultimately, it is a responsibility-based system.

Cons

1. Because the company entered a busy stage soon after its early startup phase, some systems, forms, and regulations still need to be developed (the company is currently implementing an ERP system and establishing standard operating procedures for each department).

2. For the time being, larger cases can still only be assigned to more experienced supervisors due to the company’s considerations, making it difficult to distribute the workload evenly. As a result, some employees may become overworked (perhaps employees with comparable abilities are also difficult to find).

Everyone has different abilities when it comes to adapting to the workplace. Personally, I do not currently see this as a major problem, because every company has its own particular issues; it depends on how you process and accept them. However, each position is essentially a unique opening, so if you cannot accept it, you leave; if you are willing to accept it, you do your work properly. Therefore, what others consider a disadvantage may not be something I regard as a fault.
