Pros

Low barrier to entry, I guess.

Cons

At the year-end party, you have to perform to please the bosses.

If you win a prize, you have to treat everyone to food.

When collecting your year-end bonus statement,

Before the pandemic, you also had to greet the bosses one by one for the New Year,

saying auspicious phrases (without repeating any) before you could get your statement and leave work.

On New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, you have to set an alarm to greet the bosses for the New Year.

If you send a text message, you still have to compete to see who is first.

If you don't send one, you'll be blacklisted.

At the spring banquet, employees have to pay to treat the bosses to a meal.

You have to give the bosses gifts on their birthdays.

Although, publicly, they will say, “No need, no need,”

privately, they keep track of who didn't give a gift.

The bosses like watching employees compete for favor and fight among themselves.

They like listening to gossip and encouraging people to report on one another.

What makes working here exhausting isn't the work itself—it's the emotional toll.

You have to take care of many of the bosses' personal errands:

buying boxed lunches, making coffee, stewing nourishing dishes, and even taking care of the altar.

The year-end bonus depends on the bosses' mood,

but even when the bosses are in a good mood, they still won't give much.

Going to work? Think about it.

Pleasantly the bosses takes up 80% of the job; the actual work itself takes up 20%.
