There are many factions within the company, and people like to form little cliques.
There are also bells marking the start and end of work, just like at school.
The bosses sent over after the company was acquired by a Japanese company are seriously problematic. Their own offices are large enough to have a bed, while a bunch of employees are crammed together. Doing your work well is useless; they judge people rather than the work. Capable employees get forced out, while they like to keep those who are obedient. At this company, you can only pander to them. If you are too capable or too smart, you will only be forced out.
