The second interview required preparing a 40-minute presentation (including a self-introduction in English and two test questions). Since I had more than three years of experience working at a CRO, the questions were not difficult for me, but I had to spend a lot of time preparing the slides and organizing relevant pharmaceutical regulations and journal literature. I spent about two weeks preparing thoroughly. The interview went very smoothly. After the presentation, the interviewing manager praised me for being very professional and even asked a subordinate to write down the journal references I had found for my presentation. Unexpectedly, two business days after the interview, I was notified that “the selection process had ended and I had not been selected.” I suspect that company was not actually looking to hire anyone, but may simply have used the opportunity to obtain useful information for itself.
