When I initially interviewed for the Taichung position, the job title was listed as Executive Assistant to the General Manager. However, after actually starting work, I discovered that it was basically a terrible position. The main responsibility was traveling between TSMC’s A and B plants to handle related occupational safety matters. After about two weeks, I realized that it was essentially a sales-type job, while also being responsible for occupational safety. At first, a woman in the same position was assigned to train me, but she was extremely unprofessional in her work, had a poor attitude, and was very uncultured. Although the job duties appeared simple and easy, the company’s overall systems were unclear, and the employee training was obviously problematic. I advise everyone that if you are not desperately looking for a job, take your time and keep searching—don’t take a wrong turn and end up here.
