The company does not require clocking in or out. I start work after 10:00 and leave at 18:30, so it is very flexible. Since everyone else is a shareholder, they usually arrive at the office after 12:00 almost every day. There are no other advantages.
The company has only about five or six employees, not including the boss; three of them are shareholders. The boss studied mechanical engineering but also works as a hardware engineer, using a Raspberry Pi as a cloud server—draw your own conclusions about what problems that might cause. The firmware guy is an undisclosed shareholder and cannot actually write firmware. The products all use Bluetooth wireless applications. There is no employment contract, the annual leave is only nominal, and the claim of 14 months’ pay is just empty talk. They also will not let you see the financial statements. If they do not want to pay a year-end bonus, they simply do not pay it. They also do not provide withholding statements, and they report an inflated total salary for you to the National Taxation Bureau.
