和欣汽車客運股份有限公司
Pros

1. The station duties at intermediate stops are simple and easy to learn; generally, you can work independently within about one month.

2. The workday includes an 8-hour meal break, unlike other companies where it is 8+1 hours.

3. Employees can ride buses on the company’s routes for free, provided that seats are still available.

4. The company provides a basic health examination free of charge every year.

Cons

1. The company has installed a large number of surveillance cameras at its stations, and the general management office has an audit team dedicated to catching employee mistakes. It is very easy to receive disciplinary reprimands or warnings.

2. Station duties at the terminal are troublesome: you must conduct breathalyzer tests for drivers, replace the headrest covers on every vehicle, print driving slips, and collect the driving record sheets that drivers submit at the end of their shifts.

3. Collecting passengers’ tickets must be done through a ticket validator, but the validator frequently malfunctions or behaves abnormally. As a result, even when the validator has already checked a ticket—or you have manually validated it on a computer—the head office may still call to say that you did not validate it.

4. Any incident that falls outside the work SOP must be entered in a work log, including delayed buses, drunk passengers, ticket-validator malfunctions, forgetting to disinfect, passengers vomiting on the bus, and so on. If it is not recorded immediately, you will be disciplined.

5. There are an enormous number of trivial rules. During training, they say that rewards and punishments are clearly defined, but in practice, disciplinary actions are common while commendations and minor merits are rare.

6. Days off require constant coordination. National holidays are effectively taken away and returned as compensatory leave, but it is usually difficult to get consecutive days off. Even traveling abroad requires reporting it to the head office.

7. Take-home pay is approximately NT$27,000 for the morning shift, NT$30,000–31,000 for the afternoon/evening shift, and NT$33,000–34,000 for the overnight shift; it depends on the individual.

8. When there are no passengers, you cannot use your phone, read newspapers, or study. You may only do cleaning work or stand at the counter; otherwise, you will be disciplined.
