Pros

Team gatherings are just about drinking, and only drinking.

If you don't drink, there really aren't any advantages.

Cons

The company is very small and decisions are made by a few people; although the company has written regulations, they basically choose whichever side is more favorable depending on their mood.

The products are basically copy-and-paste jobs, so even when you ask about a bunch of bugs, you may not necessarily get an answer.

Because everything is copy and paste, being good at arguing may be more useful than developing your programming skills.

There is a long-serving employee who thinks they are very capable and puts on all kinds of senior-employee airs, but in reality can only copy and paste. When something goes wrong and you ask why it was written that way, all they can say is, "That's how it was written before."

You have to travel to sites to conduct testing. If you developed it yourself, there usually aren't many problems; most issues involve machines developed by other people that are handed to you the day before, with instructions to test them on-site. Basically, when this happens, you are sent to the site to fend for yourself. Calling for help when you encounter problems is usually not much help either; all that remains is everyone internally shifting the blame.

Also, because it is a small company, rules are announced according to whoever feels like it. As a result, you will often see people leave early, and you may also see someone suddenly disappear for several months. If there is a problem at the site or with a customer during that time, the people remaining in the company are pushed out to deal with it.

The internal communication channel is described as, "If you have any problems or situations, you can discuss them with us," but most of the time nothing comes of it. As a result, some bugs and personnel issues recur periodically, and the people involved give different explanations every time they happen.

The pay is pitifully low—the kind of level that makes people laugh and feel sorry for you when you tell them about it. There are also cases of unequal pay for equal work.

Also, be careful around employees who have been there for many years. Their skills at shirking, dodging, and passing the buck are fully maxed out, and they have dug pitfalls everywhere, whether in dealing with customers or in the company's product code. If you step into one, that's your bad luck; they will step into them too, and then start holding a grand meeting to assign responsibility.

But in the end, it is usually the newest employees who fill the pits, while the people who dug them continue creating problems for others.

Although the job listing says there are bonuses for the three major holidays, I basically never received any. The year-end bonus also depends on the boss's mood.
