臺灣航勤股份有限公司
Pros

First, regarding the interview: this company's business is airport ground handling, so if you are applying for a ground-handling position, the interview is not difficult. There are no educational or work-experience requirements, and even applicants in their fifties may be hired. However, you must have a certificate of a clean criminal record. The reason the chances of being hired are high is that this company pays low wages, and most young people are unwilling to handle passengers' baggage at such low pay.

This company is also a China Airlines affiliate, which is an advantage for some workers. Because the company has an official connection, it does not dare to oppress workers excessively. The company also has a labor union, so employees do not need to worry about being unlawfully dismissed.

Cons

As for the disadvantages, this company relies too heavily on privilege. None of the managers at the company's headquarters have professional backgrounds in the relevant fields. For example, the heads of human resources and the safety management office have neither the corresponding educational backgrounds nor relevant work experience, yet they obtained managerial positions through privilege. Therefore, when working, you have to spend a great deal of time explaining why you are doing something a certain way to managers like these. After you explain it, the manager still does not understand and simply looks at you coldly, with an expression that seems to say, “Why are you telling me this?” Even when you teach the manager something, the manager will not thank you. This is different from working at an ordinary private company, where managers generally have professional backgrounds: you do not need to explain much, because they understand why you are doing something. At this company, however, you often have to explain things to managers; otherwise, the manager will just leave the official document sitting there and do nothing, without feeling any urgency.

In addition, because the managers lack professional backgrounds, in this environment you have to learn to pretend not to see many things. If you point something out to a manager, even if it was not originally your responsibility, the manager will assign it to you because you brought it up, so you have to learn to keep quiet. However, there is no need to worry: it does not matter if managers make mistakes, and it does not matter if the company loses money as a result—the company has never cared. Managers here do not have to take responsibility; they do not do the work, and they are not held responsible.
