Pros
If you have connections, the pay is high, and you can take time off whenever you want. In any case, all the work gets dumped on the “outsiders” who applied for the jobs.
Cons
If you don’t have connections, the pay is low. No matter how much overtime you work or how much you earn for the company, this is a company where connections are all that matter.
