Some people are very controlling. They check whether your desk is tidied up after you leave work, and normally use the company communication software to monitor how long you have been away from your seat. There are even surveillance cameras in the separate break room.
Most senior employees are very traditional and stick rigidly to the rules. They only do their tasks without thinking and prefer people who are obedient.
