Most colleagues are easy to get along with. Company dinners are held frequently, and drinking is an integral part of them, so those who enjoy attending company dinners are welcome.
1. Although the colleagues generally have good relationships with one another, one or two colleagues often treat you like a “gofer,” calling you over repeatedly while they go outside to smoke.
2. The people above you (not colleagues at your level) often take out their frustrations on others. Almost every day, they make the atmosphere in the entire office very tense. Calling them is like opening a surprise package—you never know whether you will be on the receiving end of their anger.
3. The people above you (not colleagues at your level) often assign work and say it is urgent. After you finish handling it and send it back, they tell you that they will deal with it tomorrow.
4. The people above you (not colleagues at your level) also send you work an hour before the end of the workday and ask whether you can work overtime to finish it that day. If you cannot, they ask another colleague who has already “definitely agreed to work overtime” to handle it (even though those other colleagues have not finished their own work, this adds to their workload).
5. Because it is a small company, the work processes are relatively disorganized, and it takes two to three months to get used to the chaotic procedures.
There are still many colleagues who have worked there for three or four years or more, so please do not be frightened by the comments above. It may simply be that I have a relatively low tolerance for stress.
