The following applies only to the Qingpu branch; it does not apply to the other branches.

Putting aside whether there is a lot of work or whether it is complicated and tedious—those are things one can adapt to—the problem is that you are constantly interrupted halfway through your work. There is a very high chance that the interruptions come from a certain managerial employee, who likes to suddenly ask you to help with this or that. It feels like they work according to their mood: whenever they think of something that needs to be done, it has to be done immediately. Sometimes they send private messages; otherwise, they tag you directly in the group or call you. Once, it was almost time to leave work. Since I had the next day off and did not want to leave work unfinished and cause trouble for the colleague covering for me the following day, I failed to notice that I had been tagged in the group. That managerial employee then called me directly. Their tone sounded clearly unpleasant, and it felt like I was being interrogated when they said, “Didn’t you see the message?” Everyone has their own work to do. I had not even finished my own tasks, yet I was expected to keep an eye on the messages and remain on standby at all times, waiting for orders. It felt absolutely awful～ They also often suddenly point out or correct something the moment it occurs to them. They may have completely forgotten what they themselves said when initially giving instructions, and after being told to correct something, you may discover that they do not follow the method they themselves insisted on～

I do not know what that managerial employee originally discussed with the boss, but they can decide at any time whether to come in early or at the regular start time on a given day. In return, coming in early means leaving early. Personally, I have no objection to coming early and leaving early; perhaps they come in early because they want to take care of official work? I do not know.

However, arriving late is also the norm. Many times, a message is received after work the previous day, or only before work begins that same day. Perhaps they do not think this causes trouble for their colleagues. The most memorable instance was when they did not arrive at the company until after 4 p.m. The boss had already arrived, and the only thing that was confirmed was that they still had not arrived—then nothing happened.

That manager particularly likes to catch mistakes. Whenever they find one, they take a photo and post it in the group to publicly shame the person, perhaps because they are afraid the boss will think they are not doing anything. Little do they realize that they themselves have also been caught making mistakes quite a few times. Other colleagues simply do not want to make an issue of it, and when they really are posted in the group, they just laugh it off～

Oh, right～ The position you apply for may not necessarily be the position you are immediately assigned to once you join. They may first have you learn other tasks, so that if a sudden vacancy comes up elsewhere in the future, you can flexibly provide support and fill in～

Even the beauticians have to help clean the staff accommodations. Several times, that manager asked me to pass on a message requesting that the beauticians help clean the accommodations. I do not know what authority a minor employee like me had to tell beauticians to clean. As for the bonuses, I do not know whether beauticians receive a share for helping with cleaning; after all, directly asking someone about their salary is rather impolite. However, the cleaning was certainly not infrequent. Before I resigned, the pattern was roughly that whenever it was time to clean the accommodations, if a beautician was not bathing or grooming a dog or cat, they would be called to “help” with the cleaning～

When I submitted my resignation, I tactfully said that I could not adapt to the job and that it was emotionally exhausting. In reality, more accurately, I could not adapt to that manager’s way of doing things. It was truly exhausting to work there～
