Pros

Most people are easy to get along with, and backstabbing generally does not occur.

Managers pay attention to their departments. It is a company that places great emphasis on culture. If you stay for a long time, it can start to feel somewhat fake. It may give you an opportunity to examine your relationship with your family and make changes as a result (depending on the individual).

There is a training quality system.

Cons

Time-wasting morning meetings that have to be held every day, along with morning exercises. You would think it was a school if you didn’t know better. It wastes work time.

You cannot use your phone at your desk. They deliberately do not mention this during the interview, and you only find out after joining. I have no idea what they are trying to prevent—is it really that confidential? Haha.

They really like managing strange little details. For example, there are days when you have to wear a uniform, and they even specify which styles of bottoms are not allowed with it. There are also many rules about what you can wear as casual clothing.

A company with underwhelming benefits: In the past, I received NT$600 in gift vouchers for the three major holidays, which was pitifully little. There is no afternoon tea, and around holidays they do not let you leave early or give you gift boxes. Absolutely nothing. New employees have to pay for their own meals (?). You have to buy your own stationery. When the company holds events, it does not seek outside resources either; employees have to spend their own time doing everything. Calling it “saving money” sounds nice, but they say it is for your learning. Haha. Overall, it makes you feel that the company is extremely stingy toward its employees. The salary is not particularly high, and getting a raise is difficult.

They really like organizing cultural activities and then including them in your performance evaluation.

If that is how it works, they should say so upfront. People who do not agree with it may end up with very low performance scores.

You have to fill out a lot of information during the interview, including writing an essay, which takes a long time. When you join, they ask for a large amount of personal information, including labor and health insurance details and a certificate of good conduct, for some inexplicable reason.

After holding certain activities, they always require meetings to share about them. They call it sharing so everyone can learn, but put bluntly, it is just a waste of time. Overall, it is an inefficient company.

Although the training has a quality system, apart from the culture courses, you cannot really see what other training is provided or what results it produces.

The performance review requires you to write about things unrelated to your work and then evaluate other people. The whole thing is incomprehensible and a waste of time.
