Absolutely no advantages
Low starting pay, lots of foreign workers, and the employer absolutely favors foreign workers. You can tell how awful the job is just from how often the position is posted. The veteran welders there brag all day about how good their skills are, but they won’t say how much they earn. There is no comprehensive vocational training, yet apprentices are expected to have the skills of experienced workers. Honestly, anyone who is really good at welding goes to work on Formosa Plastics or CPC’s 5G/6G projects; coming here is simply suffering. If they take a dislike to you, they will make things difficult for you and transfer you to another department. The culture is terrible, and the foreign workers are all self-important and look down on local workers. In short, young people, don’t make a bad decision: if you want to work in the trades, you might as well try for a job at a state-owned enterprise.
