大地光纖股份有限公司
Pros

<Firmware Engineer in the Lighting Division>

The scope of the test is quite basic, since the products include professional photography lights and passive fiber-optic components.

As for the customers, the photography lights (Fiilex) are used by Hollywood; the aquarium lights (Kessil) are regarded as the holy grail of the aquarium world; and for the fiber optics, the list includes roughly the kind of company that graduates from Taiwan’s top three electrical engineering departments want to join but may not necessarily be able to.

The test mainly covers basic C language, basic MCU peripherals, simple shell scripts, basic network concepts, and simple finite automata, with two or three questions for each. They are all very easy—you only need to know a little about each, and you do not need to know everything, but try to answer as much as possible. In any case, things are currently in good shape (the work is not especially demanding), and someone will guide you after you join. Someone will definitely cover projects that are too rushed or too difficult.

> For experienced candidates

For those who want a decent salary in Kaohsiung, a normal working environment, regular working hours, and the chance to work on professional, niche products that no other company in Taiwan is making,

> For fresh graduates

Those with the motivation and skills to learn, the ability to self-discipline, who prepare at least the above written-test topics before the interview, and who can demonstrate sincerity,

Cons

1. It’s just that the annual salary isn’t three million, I guess~ Although I wouldn’t spend that much, I think there’s a chance of reaching it.

2. The bosses are too kindhearted—they would not even have the legal department send a certified letter when asked. At an ordinary company, if someone wrote random things like this website does, certified letters would definitely be flying around.
