Pros: A large company. The newly built headquarters in Kaohsiung has a nice, clean, and hygienic environment.
You can learn a lot of cross-departmental knowledge.
Cons: You may be suddenly assigned work without warning. The tasks may span two or three departments, and there may not necessarily be a senior colleague to guide you—it depends on your luck.
If you may be transferred to Yilan, I suggest not coming. The Yilan site is just a sheet-metal building, with one person handling multiple functions across departments. Forget about leaving work on time; getting only two days off a month is considered lucky.
There is no overtime pay. Job assignments are changed according to management’s whims, without even notifying you. The systems are not very organized—it’s a family business 🙃
If you aren’t tough enough or able to adapt and compromise, you should still avoid coming.
