0 Family-owned company: If someone has connections, they are unlikely to be forced out, regardless of their character.
0 Men are highly favored. If a male employee is the type a female manager likes, poor work ability seems not to matter.
0 If a female employee is good at filing malicious reports, she can cause younger employees to leave. For example, she may message young employees on LINE to chat and coax information out of them, then alter it slightly and complain to a manager. The manager will immediately believe it after seeing the chat records, without verifying the facts, and the young employee will then be frozen out.
The foreigners there seem very subservient and are expected to follow instructions and put on an act, engaging in bullying behavior to fit in with the group.
Some instructions are very childish—for example, requiring people to wear a particular color on a certain day solely to conspicuously ostracize specific employees they want to force out. Female coworkers like making sarcastic remarks and may join together to bully others.
Some long-serving employees are not very capable but are very good at shifting the blame onto newcomers. There are many women, so you can imagine how complicated things can be. The managers are also quite young, with limited education and experience, and are not a good fit; they really need a continuous influx of new blood who can take the blame and will not stay long.
