When there are unreasonable demands, the boss likes to use peer pressure (in meetings) to force you to agree.
They increase the workload despite insufficient staffing, while the direction keeps changing. If the changes mean starting over or make it impossible to finish within the expected timeframe, they will assign serious blame, causing others to have to help complete whatever the boss considers most urgent.
This creates a vicious cycle. Everything is actually being done according to schedule, but because the boss wants to get things sooner or keeps making changes, everyone is perpetually rushing and working overtime.
