Pros

The office park is near an MRT station, with many bus routes, so commuting to work is convenient.

There are also plenty of food options, including many chain restaurants.

The restrooms are clean.

There is a 1.5-hour lunch break, and working hours are flexible.

The company has a cute cat.

The chairs are comfortable.

The department manager is great and frequently handles issues of all sizes, so subordinates are not left to face criticism themselves.

The work is manageable, and I can complete it independently with my abilities.

The position does not frequently require overtime.

Cons

When you first arrive, you may think the office is large and beautiful.

After being there for a while, you realize there is no private space (it is a large open-plan office). If another department speaks loudly, everyone knows what they are saying.

The floor is terrible! When someone walks by, it feels like an earthquake.

When I first started, it took me a long time to adjust, and I felt dizzy every day.

There are many people who meddle in others' affairs.

The company has no clear promotion system; everything depends on the boss's mood.

When the boss is in a bad mood, he scolds people without giving them any consideration. You have to wait until he finishes scolding you, and you can only respond with the answer he has already decided on—the one he wants to hear. Any other answer gets harshly shut down. As mentioned earlier, the office is open-plan, so everyone can hear.

Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran, if you do not meet his expectations, he will simply scold you.

The boss often suddenly decides that he wants you to change something.

The company's administrative management system is poor.

During the pandemic, there was no staggered scheduling, no rapid tests were provided, and working from home was not offered.

The boss only cares about keeping the company operating normally, regardless of whether employees are diagnosed.

Female employees cannot take menstrual leave.

The administrative and HR manager is a smiling tiger: she often speaks to you with a smile, but says very unpleasant things about you behind your back and whispers in the boss's ear. Her department frequently has very high turnover; at one point, five or six people came and went in a single month. You can imagine why...

There is no intermediate decision-maker; everything follows the boss's wishes.

To put it bluntly, the company's structure is essentially communism.

If you are truly unlucky enough to join, find out for yourself!
