2. Get off work half an hour early every day (9:00–17:30).
1. Because employees leave work half an hour early every day, the leave policy does not comply with the Labor Standards Act. Employees can take only three days of leave per year; after three years, only five days; and after five years, only seven days. I pointed out that this was illegal, but during the interview, the procurement manager said that because the company’s scheduled working hours end half an hour early every day, the leave policy is different. I was actually quite angry. If the company has a leave policy that does not comply with the law, shouldn’t this be clearly stated on the job bank? I traveled all the way to Neihu for an interview, only to have the company openly tell me that its leave policy is below the standards of the Labor Standards Act, and even say that they have been doing this for 20 years and are already used to it. The Labor Standards Act sets the minimum standard. If the company lets employees leave half an hour early, that is a benefit and should not affect employees’ leave entitlement. This company seriously violates the Labor Standards Act.
