Promotes workers’ understanding of and familiarity with the Labor Standards Act
Don’t be fooled by the job listing on the recruitment website. Ms. Muzi from the company openly says: “Small and medium-sized enterprises all have their own set of rules.”
But the company has never let you see its work rules. As soon as you displease Ms. Muzi and Boss Zhuang Zhou, these two will rack their brains to find ways to tamper with your salary.
From the very beginning, the company has avoided insuring your salary based on your full pay (it does not use the full salary as the insured salary), so it refuses to issue salary statements. If you ask for one, Ms. Muzi will interrogate you about why you keep asking, even though she has no reason not to provide it. In the end, she gives it to you reluctantly.
During annual leave, they deduct your transportation and meal allowances, on the grounds that you were not present at work and therefore should not receive them. Later, they even deducted them when someone took a full day of personal leave. None of this was explained; they simply deduct whatever they want.
If they think you have taken too much leave, Ms. Muzi will try to find fault with you and even investigate whether employees have violated the law, when they themselves are the biggest lawbreakers.
The page says the company follows the Labor Standards Act. It is simply a joke!
The company currently has fewer than 50 employees and is divided into two units. If you have questions about the system, Ms. Muzi will tell you that “Department XX has always done it this way,” even though the newly established unit has no idea about any of it. Ms. Muzi does her work with the attitude that it is better to avoid trouble than to deal with it.
They deliberately calculated my salary incorrectly (my salary was wrong for three consecutive months), then complained to others about why I kept going to her to check my pay. (You are the person responsible for HR, insurance enrollment, and payroll—who else am I supposed to ask?) It is an extremely old-fashioned traditional-industry company.
There is no system for year-end bonuses at all; it depends entirely on the boss’s mood. (In other words, if he dislikes you, no matter how hard you work, it will not help.)
The environment and equipment are old. To save money, they even bought used air conditioners. Since they are not cold enough, electric fans have also been installed.
The restroom is very stuffy, and the boss’s fecal and urine odor is extremely strong. He does not flush, so opening the restroom door often makes people feel nauseated.
The workload is generally not heavy, since the company has less business than it used to. However, the boss still clings to the old idea that leaving late proves your dedication to the company.
There is no overtime pay for staying late. They try to take advantage of you as much as they possibly can.
If you are not particularly concerned about regulations, the starting salary is fairly acceptable. But there is absolutely no structure: you simply do whatever you are told.
They arbitrarily deduct money from employees’ pay, and the boss will even tell you to “take a longer-term view” (???????????)
If you have a broad-minded attitude and only care about the salary, with nothing else mattering to you, you can come experience his so-called “humanized company” ^___^
