There aren't really any advantages; the benefits are very poor.
A company with absolutely no systems in place—a family business with many violations of labor laws. When I first started, I was only allowed four days off per month; there were no days off on national holidays, and there was neither overtime pay nor compensatory leave. They would just fob you off with a bunch of excuses, saying there was a staff shortage and that employees had to be patient. The salary was NT$25,200 plus a NT$1,000 perfect-attendance bonus, with Sundays as the designated national-holiday day off.
It took almost a month before they enrolled employees in labor and health insurance. They said they were worried we wouldn't stay long, because withdrawing us from the insurance later would be troublesome. What an absurd company... Employee turnover is high. If you want to experience an exploitative boss and the dark side of society, you can go take a look.
