Pros

The work itself is quite interesting, as you get to experience and learn about traditional Hakka cultural activities from different regions.

Cons

Family-owned business = a nightmare.

The boss is extremely arrogant. A typical Hakka person (in the negative sense).

The work is inefficient and lacks standards. A lot of time is wasted in meetings. Even when it has been agreed how a process should be carried out, the boss may suddenly think of something else and demand that it be redone.

I was only informed the day before a weekend business trip that I had to go. Since I already had personal plans that I could not cancel at short notice, I replied that I could not attend, and was scolded for it because, apparently, weekends were supposed to be workdays anyway. (In the boss’s mind, employees probably cannot make plans on weekends and must be available whenever called.)

During the interview, there was no specific requirement to speak Hakka; I even informed them and confirmed at the time that not being able to speak it was okay. After I was hired, however, they complained that I could not speak Hakka.
