I was somewhat interested in Taiwan’s battery energy industry, so I came for an interview to see how things were.
The location is about a 5–10-minute bike ride from Fu Jen Catholic University. It is a commercial complex with many different companies inside.
There are not many shops around the building.
The receptionist was wearing a mask, so I couldn’t tell whether she was attractive. She then directed me to wait in the meeting room.
Less than five minutes later, two people came in to conduct the interview—one was older and the other younger.
We started with self-introductions. Then the older interviewer began explaining the job responsibilities, and afterward the conversation became somewhat like casual chatting.
The interaction with both interviewers was pretty good. They even teased each other and made fun of themselves.
The entire process took about 1.5 hours.
The company mainly makes batteries and is currently undergoing a transformation, so it needs additional staff.
When I was leaving, the manager said they were somewhat interested in me and that I could wait for a second interview.
The salary is average for the tech industry, but it is considerably higher than those in traditional industries and at my previous job.
The company seems to be transitioning from the traditional battery industry, so its future is somewhat uncertain, but this also presents an opportunity.
