頤坊企業有限公司
Pros

1. Colleagues are fairly easy to get along with

2. No dress code

3. The office is quite nice

Cons

1. Family-owned business. The family members are the ones who have normal workloads and high salaries.

2. Overtime is the norm. If you do not regularly work overtime, you will be considered to have too little work and to be unprofessional, and more work will continually be assigned to you.

3. There is strong pressure to work overtime on holidays and participate in activities. If everyone is suddenly notified that they must work on a holiday or attend an event but an employee cannot comply, they will be called in for a discussion until they agree to come.

4. When discussing salary, they add the labor and health insurance contributions and labor pension payments covered by the company, then say that the company’s cost for an employee is very high.

5. They particularly like holding meetings half an hour before the end of the workday, 10 minutes before the end of the workday, and during the lunch break. Meetings after work regularly run more than 1–2 hours past the end of the workday, while lunch breaks are entirely taken up by meetings, leaving no time to rest. If you do not leave the company for lunch, the boss and the junior bosses are very likely to assign work and ask about work, showing no respect for employees’ break time. Meetings are also often announced at the last minute; this once caused my family to wait downstairs for 1–2 hours.

6. The boss frequently checks the surveillance cameras and then calls to ask what you are doing.

7. After work, you often receive LINE messages from the boss asking about or assigning work.

8. There are almost no benefits, and the bonuses for the three major holidays and year-end are all very small.

9. Turnover among younger employees is very high.

10. Try not to share too many personal matters with colleagues; company gossip spreads very quickly.

11. Many decisions by the boss and junior bosses have caused the workload to keep increasing, with a lot of rework or work done for nothing. There are almost no clear SOPs to follow.

I strongly recommend looking for another company with proper systems that complies with the Labor Standards Act.
