Pros

If you really like working with metal crafts, you can indeed handle them almost every day.

There is air conditioning at work, so you do not have to worry about the heat.

You can train your EQ.

Cons

During the interview, they directly said that everyone from entry-level employees to managers receives the same base salary, with no salary increases. The rest depends on doubled bonuses. Side jobs are also prohibited,

and even side jobs unrelated to the work are not allowed. However, after joining, you will be so exhausted that you will not have the energy to think about taking a side job anyway.

Regular reviews only focus on matters that upper management wants to see or review; the root causes of problems can never be improved.

There are no bonuses for the three major holidays. The year-end bonus is an extra NT$1,000 after one year, or NT$200 for less than one year.

If you cannot come to work because of factors such as the pandemic or a power outage, you have to take unpaid leave or use your own annual leave.

If you resign after working for less than a year, in principle I could have left after 10 days. I had already gone above and beyond by helping out for a month, but they still kept pressuring me to stay.

They even joked about whether they could tear up my resignation application...... I was anxious and frightened all the way until my last day, and was genuinely afraid that I would not be allowed to leave.

The boss starts yelling at people before even clarifying the situation.

The manager openly said that as long as a colleague had good sales performance, it did not matter if they failed at other tasks. That colleague only focused on sales and completely ignored after-sales service and following up on orders.

When deadlines were approaching, other colleagues kindly helped handle the work (otherwise we would all have been scolded when customers complained), while that colleague acted as if it had nothing to do with them.

The manager could still brazenly claim that they were not playing favorites.

The manager is emotional and likes to use emotional blackmail, while also loving to put on a generous act. Whenever the manager treats us to something, it is compulsory; every time, we have to find a way to decline.

If we refuse too many times, the manager gets upset. Yet we are portrayed as if the manager is always very good to us and treats subordinates to meals. Are we somehow not receiving enough of their benefits?

Hearing this kind of thing only makes you feel the helplessness of punching a cotton ball.

The company's sales-performance allocation system becomes something else entirely when it comes to direct managers. Metalworking instructors have to provide hands-on instruction to the manager's customers and also help boost the manager's sales.

If customers do not buy enough, we are questioned about whether we are really promoting sales. We work ourselves to exhaustion for nothing, while the manager takes all the sales credit in the end.

When the manager's sales are insufficient, they often borrow sales from subordinates. If you do not proactively lend sales to colleagues, they assume you do not need them and will not proactively return the sales to you.

After all my sales were borrowed away, I was still scolded by the boss for not meeting the target.

There is so much work that we often work overtime until midnight and still cannot finish. Naturally, there is no overtime pay, because it is supposedly “you not finishing your own work,” not “the company forcing you to work overtime.”

The metalworking instructor training me is already so busy that she voluntarily works overtime almost every day. The manager and colleagues dump their work on her, and the person most often cutting in line to make her handle things is the manager.

She was even questioned by the manager: “Are you really that busy? What exactly are you busy with?”

You may think that accommodating the company will lead to mutual consideration, but in reality it only makes the company feel that you are easy to bully and will not speak up.

Before you leave, they will delay your salary payment. If you do not ask, the company pretends nothing happened. The reasons for withholding pay vary, and after resigning, I do not know why I could only receive my pay in cash.

There was clearly no issue with bank-transfer fees, yet they still delayed my salary and pretended nothing was wrong. Only after I proactively asked did they say I needed to arrange a time with the manager to collect cash.

They only agreed to make a bank transfer after I brought up taking legal action, and they did not even transfer the full amount, insisting on paying it in installments in cash.

In most customer complaint cases, even when the problem is the customer's fault, the manager takes the customer's side. Frontline employees can only quietly accept it as an EQ training camp.

There are many more trivial matters that cannot be listed one by one. If you feel your EQ is not high enough, or want to see how low the limits of human decency can go, this would be an excellent choice.
