I interviewed for the position of “Assistant to the Business Manager.” The interview was scheduled for 9 a.m. via a notification from 104. They never called me at any point. When I arrived on the day of the interview, there were two applicants but only one HR representative, and there weren’t enough meeting rooms. The HR representative spoke with the other interviewee first, so I was simply left sitting around in the busy lobby.

After 20 minutes, the other person came out to interview me. As soon as he sat down, he said, “You’re interviewing for the sales assistant position? Hmm? Is the sales assistant position still open?”

I was already very annoyed hearing that. He then asked whether I wanted to work in sales: “We’ve already filled all our sales assistant positions~ We don’t need any more sales assistants. Do you want to work in sales? People in sales all start out doing sales assistant work anyway. Would you be interested in starting as a sales assistant and then transferring to sales?”

If the sales assistant positions were already filled, couldn’t they have called to let me know??? Making someone come all the way there for nothing is already extremely rude, and then they tried to trick me into taking a sales position??

Are the jobs of a sales assistant and a salesperson really that different???? One goes out to get orders from clients, while the other manages shipping progress and maintains customer information. Is this approach meant to trick idiots into coming in to work in sales?? Would idiots be able to generate sales performance??

Extremely disrespectful to job applicants. Terrible review!!!
