The background check is extremely thorough: in addition to asking about your previous work experience, reasons for leaving, and portfolio-related questions, they also ask about things like your zodiac sign and blood type. They prefer to hire employees who already live in the Nangang, Xizhi, or Neihu areas to reduce turnover. They will also ask where your partner is from and where they work; if they are not from Taipei, they may worry that you will be likely to leave after getting married.
