I was invited to an interview by HR, only to be told that I had no relevant experience. It was simply baffling—it felt like HR was just trying to meet a quota. Then they said that I seemed outgoing and had experience participating in many activities, so I probably wouldn’t be suited to sitting indoors doing accounting all the time. It was the first time I’d heard that having participated in many activities meant someone couldn’t accept indoor work. I was quite speechless at the time.
