I was invited to an interview by HR, only to be told that I had no relevant experience. It was simply baffling and made me feel like HR was just trying to pad their numbers. They then said that I appeared to have a lively personality and had experience with many activities, so I probably wasn’t suited to sitting indoors doing accounting work all the time. It was the first time I’d heard that having participated in many activities meant being unable to accept working indoors. I was quite speechless at the time.
