【Overall】
A dairy products importer that has been operating for over 30 years. It is a family business, and the two founders have handed over the main decision-making authority to the next generation.
The main products are imported Danish natural cheeses and related dairy products, as well as milk and flour from Japan. The company also sells equipment such as pasta machines, ovens, refrigerators, and proofing cabinets, along with other products including yogurt, knives, olive oil, vinegar, and cheese graters.
Company philosophy: “Eat healthy,” “Eat with peace of mind.”
The dairy products contain no additives and have simple ingredients, reflecting the company’s commitment to healthy, natural, and high-quality products.
The office has a baking classroom (similar to a pantry), which serves as a testing site for in-house technicians. A coffee machine and tea bags are available for use.
【Advantages】
Because it is a small company, you can be exposed to many different aspects of the business during your employment—it feels like one person taking on the work of several people.
The leadership has changed, and the company shows signs of expanding. There are many new challenges to take on, and you can look forward to future development.
Basically, everyone is easy to get along with.
It is suitable for people who care somewhat about their health, people who like cheese, or people with strong stress tolerance.
You can eat many related products and learn a lot of relevant knowledge; even someone with an insensitive palate will become more discerning.
Because technicians conduct product testing, there are occasionally test products, samples, or treats brought in by the boss to enjoy.
The imported products are all high quality, so after leaving the company, you will become a loyal customer yourself.
【Disadvantages】
The base salary is relatively low.
Only overtime during major exhibition events can be exchanged for compensatory leave; there is no overtime pay for other voluntary overtime.
There is no well-established employee training system, but product information and employee training videos are available.
There is no performance evaluation or promotion system; you have to pursue opportunities yourself.
The probationary period was not mentioned during the interview. After joining and receiving the first paycheck, I found out that the first three months were a probationary period.
【Caution】
Most employees are easy to get along with, but be careful of one person with a strong ego who constantly criticizes others. This person appears friendly to you but may turn around and badmouth you to others the next second. Sometimes the opinions they offer are deliberately intended to cause you trouble and slow down work efficiency. When there is nothing to do, this person loudly chats away, making them the problem person in the office.
【Suggestion】
If you want to apply for the social media editor position, it is recommended that you have previous experience, or that you really like cheese and are more emotionally oriented—then you “might” be a better fit.
