The boss treats employees well and often provides afternoon tea.
The scheduling is extremely flexible.
Some colleagues put sales above everything else. When the phone rings, they pretend not to hear it and do not answer; when customers hand over prescriptions, they pretend not to see them; and when they see regular customers who are likely to buy products that count toward sales, they always intercept them first.
Several senior colleagues are particularly good at bullying newcomers. Prescriptions, replacing checkout receipt paper rolls, replacing invoices, restocking goods on the third floor, and so on are almost always dumped on the newcomers; this happens all the time. The senior employees also argue with one another over competing for sales.
The workplace atmosphere is poor. Senior employees act differently in front of and behind others. When the boss is away, groups of two or three openly criticize the newcomers and speak ill of them loudly in the store, right in front of them, and even take pride in it.
The annual leave policy is unclear and does not comply with the Labor Standards Act.
