Pros

I interviewed for an external-affairs driver position. The interview was very casual; basically, it depended on whether the boss’s older sister wanted to hire you. Many things were not proactively disclosed during the interview unless you asked, and even if you did, they might be glossed over ambiguously. By the time you were hired, you were already warned that the rest of your life there might be dark. First, the policies were only made to sound good and look good on paper; whenever something happened, everything reverted to a rule-by-personal-discretion model, with no policies to follow. Also, there was no overtime pay because it was a “responsibility-based” system, so you had no choice but to work overtime every day to finish your tasks. The company’s systems were neither consolidated nor integrated: the same matter could be asked about by three or four different people. Even if you proactively informed the person responsible for preparing orders or the project staff, it made no difference. On the first Saturday of every odd-numbered month, you had to work, using that day to organize the warehouse, restock supplies, and hold “rat meetings.” They fully embodied the worst traits of exploitative old-school bosses and sweatshops. And don’t even dream of getting overtime pay for working Saturdays—you only received the normal daily wage calculated at the standard rate. It was utterly pathetic. Meetings were basically “rat meetings”; don’t doubt that you read it wrong—it really was conducted like a pyramid scheme, with one person above everyone else enjoying the pleasure of a group of extremely submissive employees clapping and nodding along. It perfectly demonstrated the meaning of the phrase “capitalist.” Moreover, the problems among the people produced by this system were truly endless. Management avoided playing the bad cop and therefore did not manage people, allowing long-serving employees to proclaim themselves kings, which led to all kinds of corrupt practices and bad habits. In short, people who are desperate or masochists (M) can go experience it~ I’ve done my best to warn you~

Cons

It has completely gone rotten. There are far too many personnel problems created by the system. Even when I went out of my way to report them to management, the only result was utter disappointment.
