The office was full of cardboard boxes and clutter everywhere, a complete mess.

The interviewer was the boss. He spoke arrogantly and was lacking in courtesy. The questions he asked were often contradictory, and his tone frequently conveyed impatience. It was a very unpleasant interview experience—no wonder they have been recruiting for years.
