A few months ago, I interviewed for an HR position. As soon as the interview was over, I felt dissatisfied and knew I wouldn’t want to work there. It was clear that they were in a hurry to fill the position, but out of courtesy, I still needed to give them an available start date, so I provided one that was relatively far in the future.

Then last week, I received a phone call asking whether I wanted to come in for an interview—for the exact same internal position??? What the heck? Is this how HR operates in Tainan⋯⋯? Have you even checked whether I interviewed before? Does your company not keep applicants’ information on file⋯⋯?

What I found unsatisfactory was that they didn’t know anything about the benefits when I asked? Please, take it a little more seriously. Your company isn’t the only one looking for people—job seekers choose companies too, you know⋯⋯ If you don’t even understand your own company’s benefits, what exactly are you interviewing people for? It was an interview that wasted someone else’s time.
