Pros

1. You can get exposure to work beyond the position you applied for, broadening your horizons and learning new things.

2. The employee meals are very delicious, and the Vietnamese cuisine is flavorful and appetizing! In addition, the drinks and snacks at the bar are just as good as those outside.

3. Working surrounded by antiques, paintings, and jewelry is a feast for the eyes.

4. Colleagues show genuine solidarity in times of difficulty. Although everyone sometimes has different positions, we still help one another.

Cons

1. When the boss is anxious, they insist on having things their way and disrupt everything that has been planned. In the end, when the results are unsatisfactory, they ask you to take full responsibility.

2. The boss requires personally reviewing everything, but because they are often busy, projects frequently exceed their deadlines before receiving approval. Even after raising this issue multiple times, the company has been unable to improve its processes, and there is no SOP to follow. In the end, you are also expected to bear full responsibility for the performance results.

3. When the job involves professional expertise, the boss listens to your approach and lets you carry it out, but halfway through, they suddenly intervene and propose impossible changes in direction. Strongly advising against them only leads to blame. If the results are poor afterward, you still bear full responsibility.

4. After something happens, a review meeting is held, but the boss focuses on reviewing the “person” rather than analyzing the cause. They do not use methods such as Why analysis to prevent the problem from happening again, and always conclude by blaming others. The management department is effectively nonexistent, with no supporting SOPs to prevent recurrence. In the end, the problem is blamed on employees having “changed” or “not put their hearts into their work,” and the matter is closed.

5. The boss may not recognize how much you devote yourself to the company, but any mistake is sure to receive harsh and emotional criticism.

6. On the surface, the company’s responsibilities appear to be distributed evenly, with each employee handling their own duties. In reality, almost everyone is doing work beyond their responsibilities. When you tell the company that your workload is too heavy, they tell you to “personally” find someone to help with the excessive workload. Little do they realize that everyone is too busy to step away, so who could possibly take on these tasks? There is no improvement.

7. Once the boss insists on doing something, they do not care whether everyone can handle it. There is only endless overtime followed by accountability. I just want to ask: how can an employee who has not received adequate rest have the energy to face blame again and again?

8. Although this was a work experience from several years ago, every time I recall it, I feel only wronged and resentful. However, it was also because of this environment that genuine friendships formed easily among colleagues who shared hardships.

Everything above comes from real experience. If anything is fabricated or maliciously defamatory, may I be struck by thunder and lightning.
