The boss is a textbook old-school traditional-industry employer, leading a bunch of old-timers in trying to run a software consulting company—it’s a complete joke. During the worst period of the pandemic, they still insisted on an A/B shift system. The problem was that the office was run-down and tiny, so even with only half the employees coming in, it was still a serious crowding risk. Someone at TECO Electric & Machinery in the same building even tested positive and had been in contact with employees of E-Tong Information, yet they still insisted that more than half of the employees come to the office to work. Vaccine leave was counted as personal leave, and they seemed happy only when they had deducted every last penny from you.

The company’s seniority-based culture and abuse of authority were extremely severe. I thought I was doing military service. Supervisors did not help solve problems; instead, they used pointless verbal abuse and various sarcastic remarks to mock their subordinates. In my ten years in the workforce, this was the worst company I have ever worked for. I strongly advise everyone not to go there.
