Pros

The boss is easygoing

Cons

Actually, they are just careless.

During the interview, they said the job would involve assisting with online marketing. After I was hired, I had to handle not only online marketing but also the store’s marketing, make promotional materials for the stores, and even take on purchasing tasks because they were constantly short-staffed. Work was never-ending every day. The boss and the boss’s daughter would bombard you simultaneously, and both were impatient. People who take their responsibilities too seriously can easily become depressed working under them. You would be responsible for Facebook, LINE, Shopee, Instagram, Google Business Profile, the official website, all advertising, improving SEO, and every miscellaneous task (e.g., designing graphics, listing products, packing orders, assisting purchasing by entering inventory orders, handling the baby gift program, mailing prizes after events, negotiating contracts, etc.).

I recommend that anyone without a broad range of skills think twice before joining, because what they want is not a marketing specialist but an all-purpose gofer. This is a position based on a responsibility system, and the boss does not really care about employees working overtime or show any consideration for everyone. They just stand nearby making sarcastic remarks like, “Hurry up and get off work,” while refusing to hire anyone to share the workload. They ask everyone to pull together during difficult times but do not pay overtime. I saw the accountant work overtime for two or three hours every day (I worked at least one hour and at most two and a half hours of overtime every day). Once they have used someone up, they ask that person to leave. This company had no online marketing experience, so through my connections I introduced them to a reputable word-of-mouth marketing company. We later successfully negotiated an event, and with the help of the word-of-mouth marketing company, the company’s online operations gradually got on track. However, two weeks after signing the contract, the company suddenly called me in for a meeting and laid me off. That really showed me the truth about the company! I truly do not recommend working there.
