In some areas, if there is a directly operated store downstairs, free lunch is available (NT$75 per day).
The following is based on my personal experience and impressions:
There are no established procedures.
The senior management lacks credibility.
They may not necessarily tell you during the interview that there is a probationary period.
It is only on your first day that they tell you there will be a 1–3 month probationary period, usually three months.
They then deduct money from employees’ salaries,
and even after the probationary period ends, they do not restore the salary.
The senior management feels good about themselves all day,
living in their own world as Taiwan’s largest chain lunch-box operator.
