A benevolent company; focuses on the matter, not the person. There are many long-serving employees, so managers don't dare to take action against them. Newcomers, fend for yourselves.
The manager has emotional management issues but is extremely loyal to the company. Fend for yourselves.
Don't assume that the position you are hired for is what you'll be doing— you'll be expected to do a bit of everything.
