鴻石國際股份有限公司
Pros

HR took the company introduction very seriously... I don't know whether this counts as a strength.

Cons

1. The first interview was conducted by HR, who simply read from a script. They asked about my previous salary, reasons for leaving, and job responsibilities (the same questions were asked for every work experience). It was obvious that they had not read my résumé, which was a minus.

2. If there is a second interview, you have to prepare a presentation and submit it to the general manager. It makes you wonder how unwilling this company is to read applicants' résumés.

The reason given was that the general manager had just taken over the family business, was very busy in Shanghai, and did not have time—but every candidate still had to be decided on by the general manager (those with experience will probably know what kind of problem this might indicate).

3. Before the second interview, applicants are required to sign an authorization form. They will then call the HR departments of all your previous companies and ask about your former salary. It feels unsettling—no wonder this is a company with a “wolf-like” culture.

4. The company requires sales staff to visit 4–5 clients a day. Please make sure everyone runs the full schedule.

So far, only Chinese companies insist on obtaining applicants' past salaries. I suggest they continue looking for people in China, since there is a cultural gap.
