Called me in for an interview
simply because the company I worked for previously did business with them
At the beginning of the interview, they beat around the bush for a while. Later, when they realized they couldn't get the answers they wanted, they got straight to the point and asked for confidential business information
I refused to disclose it
Without asking about my work experience or assessing my abilities at all
they immediately began criticizing me
The criticism was that the job would require extensive use of Excel
and that the work would be very difficult if I didn't know how to use it, among other things
(Couldn't you ask whether I know how to use it first...? )
They kept talking about how difficult the job was, but I couldn't understand what was supposed to be difficult about it at all.
After criticizing me, they hurriedly ended the interview
They were even too lazy to see me out...
Trying to pry into someone's confidential information is unethical
and they showed extreme disrespect toward the interviewee
The interviewer was even a senior executive
I'm truly speechless
