The environment is quite spacious, but it seems not to be the main point.
Since I was still employed, I was invited to come for an interview, so I could only go in the evening. After I arrived, they introduced themselves and I introduced my work and résumé. Then the other person asked whether I had any questions.
I happened to ask about the vacation policy first.
She replied: “Two days off every week, just like banks.”
So I said: “Oh, so you get days off on public holidays, right?”
She replied: “Oh, you people nowadays are just...” ((She complained in an irritated tone but did not continue.
((OS: Miss... banks do get days off on public holidays... Isn’t that basic common knowledge? Why are you being so aggressive? = =!!!
Although I was already starting to think, “...I don’t want to work under this person,” since I had come all this way, I decided to continue the conversation.
Next, I asked whether the salary during the three-month probationary period would be different afterward, or whether it would remain the same.
She replied: “Were you not listening to what I just said?”
....You can’t even make yourself understood clearly. If someone doesn’t hear you, they’ll carefully explain it again, but when you speak too quickly and someone doesn’t catch it, you snap at them. Are you irritable because you’re lacking protein or something????
In the middle of the interview, she also complained about the previous marketing and graphic-design employee, saying that the person had only worked for three months, only wanted to do graphic-design work, wrote copy based on their own ideas, and wouldn’t cooperate with the boss’s opinions, so they weren’t suitable for the position.
((Although 99% of me felt that the bigger problem was probably that she was a bad, overbearing boss who made it difficult for people to work,
I still tried to ease the tension and make the atmosphere better, so I tactfully said: “Yes, this job may indeed not be suitable for someone who wants to do graphic design.”
Then she said again in a very arrogant tone: “This isn’t the time to talk about that person, is it?”
Hey, weren’t you the one who brought it up in the first place? = =..... Could it be that I was the one badmouthing them...? Do I even know them?
Because I really disliked her tone by that point, I wanted to end the interview as quickly as possible.
It was also quite late, so I gently asked her: “Have you eaten?”
She said: “Of course not. I had to wait for you!”
Although she was smiling, I was already about to explode inside!! ((I hadn’t eaten either, okay? Do you think you’re the only one who’s hungry or what!?
Normally, an ordinary person would tactfully say, “I’ll eat after the interview. You’ve worked hard, so please go home early,” wouldn’t they!!!
She was truly bizarre... She’s grown this old, yet she talks like a middle school student with no manners. Is this your first time entering the workforce? (╯‵□′)╯︵┴─┴
I kept thinking about how pitiful her employees must be.....
The previous person supposedly worked there for three months; I wouldn’t have wanted to stay even a single day.
If you have such a bad temper, go work on yourself, okay? You’re an adult, but you don’t act like one...
